N5 Stewardship Movement · Website Guide

Updating your website content

A simple, no-code guide. Almost everything on the site is powered by a blog — to add or change something, you just publish a blog post and it appears within about 20 seconds.

Each section below tells you which blog to use and what to fill in. Every section also has a ▶ Walkthrough video box — paste your screen recording link and it plays right here.

⚙️ Two things that are always true 1) A post must be Published — a Draft never shows on the site.   2) All of these blogs live under Pages → Not Linked in Squarespace.
Where the post settings live While editing a post, click the gear icon (Post Settings). You'll use the Content tab (Featured Image, Excerpt, Source URL) and the Options tab (Categories, Tags, Status). Some blogs use the post Body; each section says which.

Courses — the cards + "Course details" pop-ups

/courses-2

One post = one course. This blog uses the post Body.

Put these labelled lines at the top of the body — they fill the card:

Line in the bodyControls

Button:the gold button's label (optional)
Featured:type yes to make it the dark card (optional)
Summary:the one-line blurb on the card

Everything below those lines becomes the "Course details" pop-up. A short line ending in ? becomes a heading, lines starting with - become bullets, the rest are paragraphs. The Featured Image shows at the top of the pop-up (16:9, ~1200×675px).

VERSE_TEXT: "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love..."
WHEN: 23–24 Sept 2026 · 9am–5pm

Editing, removing & reordering

Editopen the post, change the fields, Save.
Removeopen the post → … → Delete (or set it back to Draft).
Reordermost sections show newest post first, so change a post's publish date to move it.

The golden rules

  1. A post must be Published — a Draft will not show.
  2. Most blogs use the Excerpt for card text and leave the body empty; Courses, Professionals, Advisory & Conference use the Body.
  3. Courses are the one exception that show oldest first (publish order); everything else is newest first.
  4. Each card needs one Category where relevant — if you add several, the first one is used.
  5. Every section keeps a small built-in fallback, shown only if a blog is ever unavailable — your developer manages those.
